On November 13-15, 2012, a scientific conference "Current state of ammonia production. Modernization and safety issues during the operational and storage cycles” took place in Veliky Novgorod (The Russian Federation) on the basis of the Open Joint Stock Company "Akron".
The Conference was jointly organized by the Russian Chemists Union and the International Scientific Information Company "Infohim".
Among the participants - representatives of enterprises and companies from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Ukrainian Domestic chemical industry was represented by the specialists from PJSC "Nitrogen" (Rivne), PJSC "Severodonetsk Azot Association" (Severodonetsk), CJSC "Severodonetskiy Orhhim" (Severodonetsk), UkrDIAP (Dneprodzerzhinsk), SC "Alviho" (Kyiv), etc.
President of the Ukrainian Chemists Union Mr. Oleksiy Golubov gave an overview of the situation in the area of ammonia production, as far as his evaluation of the new fertilizers’ generation use in Ukraine and abroad. He shared his views on the ways of how to improve the competitiveness of the fertilizer production enterprises under the conditions of significant increase in the production of nitrogen fertilizers in the world.
