As part of its business strategy the company "UKRPLASTIC" develops new resource-saving and environment-friendly technologies of flexible packaging materials.
Implementation of the project provides for the introduction of innovative systems of recovery and use of solvents in a closed cycle and putting into operation a new co-extrusion lamination line for the production of special packaging materials, which are currently imported inUkraine.
We would like to remind you that in the EU, to assess the load of packaging on the environment they use a complex index of UBP (Umwelt belastungpunkt), which includes weight of packaging, composition, energy production costs, the presence of harmful components, disposal costs, the effect of recycling processes and recyclable product on the environment and human health.
The flexible film packaging, which is produced by UKRPLASTIC, is rated as a "green" environmentally safe packaging with UBP being 2 to 3 times less as compared to a plastic bottle, 5 to 10 times less than a cardboard box or metal can, 15 to 20 times less than a throwaway glass bottle.
The introduction of the innovation technology by UKRPLASTIC is of strategic importance because most of the energy-intensive raw materials, especially oil and gas, are imported in Ukraine.
